Community Space/Free Store
THE TIME HAS COME!
Dear Milwaukee,
mNSC is very excited to announce that we have, with your help, found ourselves a home. mNSC, in partnership with the Riverwest Health Initiative, and the Milwaukee Area Time Exchange, will begin build-out on a 2000 square foot Community Resource Center, located @ 901 e Wright Street, as of mid-June, with our doors expected to be officially open to the public come August 1st. We are all delighted at the positive public response and support for the project and ask that those of you, the active members of the Milwaukee community, to continue your participation through this next work-laden step into permanence. With funds raised, a business proposal readied, and the continued support from you, we can expect a smooth construction phase, and a happy grand opening by summer's end.
Thanks to all who have worked to make this dream come true!
What you can do to help:
*Come take a tour of the prospective space.
*Give us your ideas for what you would like to see grow from a permanent location.
*Jump on board with the planning process. We are you... You are us. There is plenty to be done and we could use your help!
*Come get your hands dirty! We will need help in areas of drywall, painting, flooring, gardening, etc.... Use this volunteer time to earn Time Exchange Credits!!! (http://www.mketimeexchange.org/)
*Become a fiscal sponsor... although in practice we work to perpetuate a culture of sharing, mNSC cannot pay for this space without your help. Email mNSC to get involved as a sponsor!
*Spread the word! We are planning on opening our doors to the community in the Summer of 2010. We cannot wait to see you all there!
MANY THANKS TO MILWAUKEE FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT. WE WILL SEE YOU SOON!

Free Market - June 28th

It's that time of year again!
Join us as we celebrate the first Free Market of the season. As usual we will be down at Garden Park on the corners of Locust and Bremen. Bring what you no longer have a use for... take what you need! It's all FREE. (It is not necessary to bring goods to take goods) As in years past, we will be side-lining with the Riverwest Farmers Market where you can purchase locally grown fruit and vegetables. Support your community by participating in this unique attempt at utilizing public space for a common good. This year we are happy to announce the participation of the Milwaukee Bike Collective who will be offering bike tune-ups FREE of charge.

This event is only possible with the collective help of you, the members of the Milwaukee community. We thank you for your continued support!
